Terms of sale

Draft to complete and have reviewed by a legal professional before going live. Replace the parts in square brackets [ ].
1. Purpose
These terms govern the sale, by [name or company name, legal form, registration number, address] (“Selfigenic”), of digital portraits generated by artificial intelligence from photos supplied by the customer, on the Selfigenic website.
2. Service
The customer uploads 1 to 3 photos of themselves and chooses a style. The service generates a portrait with artificial intelligence. A first preview, reduced in size and watermarked, is free. Clean portraits are obtained with credits: 1 credit = 1 portrait unlocked or generated.
The customer confirms they are the person shown in the uploaded photos, that they are an adult, and that they will not upload photos of anyone else. The result is produced automatically: its appearance may differ from reality.
3. Prices
Prices include applicable taxes [or: VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French Tax Code]:
- Single photo: $4.99 — 1 credit
- Starter: $9.99 — 10 credits
- Photoshoot: $19.99 — 40 credits
- Pro: $39.99 — 100 credits
Credits do not expire. They cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.
4. Payment
Payment is made online by card or digital wallet through Stripe. Card details never pass through Selfigenic.
5. Delivery and right of withdrawal
Credits are available immediately after payment. As this is digital content supplied without a physical medium, the customer expressly requests immediate performance and acknowledges losing their right of withdrawal as soon as a portrait is unlocked or generated. Unused credits can be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase.
6. Likeness guarantee
If no portrait looks like the customer, they can request a refund within 7 days by writing to [contact email]. The refund is made to the original payment method.
7. Use of portraits
The customer may freely use their portraits, in particular on their CV, professional profiles and social networks. Portraits contain a machine-readable label stating that they are AI-generated; the customer agrees not to use them to mislead anyone about their nature where the law requires disclosure.
8. Personal data
See the privacy policy.
9. Complaints and mediation
Complaints: [contact email]. In the event of a dispute, consumers may use a consumer mediation service free of charge: [mediator name and contact details].
10. Governing law
French law. This does not deprive consumers of the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence. Failing an amicable agreement, the courts designated by law have jurisdiction.
